Former Man United star issues transfer warning to Arsenal

Owen Hargreaves tells Arsenal to sort out the futures of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as quickly as possible

Owen Hargreaves has warned Arsenal that they must waste no more time in tying both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez down to new contracts.

The pair’s futures at The Emirates have been a source of speculation in recent weeks after they both entered into the final two years of their contracts at The Emirates.

Both players are likely to want significant pay rises if they are going to commit their futures to Arsenal beyond the summer of 2018.

Former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves feels that the Gunners should move quickly to sort the futures of both Ozil and Sanchez out.

Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show, Hargreaves said: “You hope so [Sanchez will sign a new deal] for them. They’ve lost so many important players but they just can’t afford to lose him.

“Ozil as well, he is unplayable.”

Arsenal are looking to go one step further and win the Premier League this season after their second-placed finish last term.
