Gary Neville makes claim about Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois
The Manchester United legend is a big fan of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois
Gary Neville says he would rather Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois than Manchester City shot stopper Claudio Bravo.
Pep Guardiola rendered England number one Joe Hart surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium after taking over the reins in the summer.
The Citizens signed Bravo in a £17m deal from La Liga champions Barcelona but the Chile international has struggled to impress in the Premier League.
Courtois, on the other hand, has kept six clean sheets in his last eight Premier League games to establish himself as the favourite for the Premier League’s golden glove this term.
The Belgium made a number of important saves as Courtois helped Chelsea ease to a 3-1 victory over their title rivals Manchester City at The Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking on his podcast with Sky Sports after Chelsea’s 3-1 win, ex Manchester United defender Neville discussed whether he prefers Bravo or Courtois.
“I fancy Thibaut Courtois a lot more as a goalkeeper than I do Claudio Bravo,” Neville told Sky Sports.
Chelsea are three points clear of second-placed Arsenal after their 3-1 win against Manchester City.
