Gary Neville reacts to Chelsea’s 3-1 win at Man City
Gary Neville has his say on Chelsea's 3-1 victory over Manchester City at The Etihad
Gary Neville claimed that Chelsea are starting to show signs of being potential Premier League champions after their brilliant 3-1 win at Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues fell behind in the first half at The Etihad when Gary Cahill inadvertently turned the ball into his own net.
However, the west London side battled back after the break and levelled thanks to Diego Costa’s low shot.
Substitute Willian was then put through by the unplayable Costa, and the Brazilian duly slotted home to make it 2-1.
And Eden Hazard wrapped up the three points with another devastating counter-attack as he fired home in stoppage time to add gloss to the scoreline.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, former Manchester United defender Neville said: “It’s far too early to crown champions but it’s the type of performance you see from champions.
“It’s a big, big day for Conte and his team.”
