Gary Neville reacts to Man United’s 4-1 win over West Ham on Twitter
The Manchester United legend was impressed with his former side's 4-1 win over West Ham in the EFL Cup
Gary Neville hailed a really good Manchester United performance after their 4-1 victory over West Ham in the EFL Cup quarter-final.
The Red Devils played out a frustrating 1-1 stalemate with the Hammers at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
However, Jose Mourinho’s side were ahead inside two minutes thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s second goal in successive games against West Ham.
France international Anthony Martial netted twice in the second half after Ashely Fletcher’s leveller for the visitors in the 35th minute.
And Ibrahimovic netted in added time to polish off a comfortable League Cup victory for the 20-time English champions at Old Trafford.
Neville was left in a despondent mood after Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with the east London side in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
However, the former England right-back was in an upbeat mood after Mourinho’s side booked their place in the EFL Cup semi-final.
Just left OT . Played really well..
