Graeme Souness reacts to Jurgen Klopp Liverpool exit reports: It’s a unique club
Graeme Souness says he expects Jurgen Klopp to ignore the link to Bayern Munich and stay at 'unique club' Liverpool
Graeme Souness has said that he highly doubts whether Jurgen Klopp would want to leave Liverpool to take over at Bayern Munich.
The German coach has been touted as a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti at the Bundesliga club following their slow start to the campaign.
The Sun reported over the weekend that the Bundesliga champions were considering Klopp as a potential candidate to be the club’s new manager.
Klopp has earned plenty of praise for the start to life he has made at Liverpool following his appointment last October.
His Liverpool side have earned a reputation for playing free-flowing attacking football, and the Reds are currently just a point behind leaders Chelsea after 13 games of the new season.
And former Liverpool star Souness does not believe that Klopp would be tempted to walk away from what he has started to build at the Merseyside club.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Souness said: “I think he has fully bought into what Liverpool are about.
“I genuinely believe that Liverpool are quite a unique football club.
“Once you work there, it’s with you for the rest of your life. Through the glory days of winning everything to the tragedies that have fallen to that club… you quickly ‘get’ Liverpool and I wouldn’t think any time soon Jurgen Klopp will be leaving.
“I don’t see him leaving Liverpool until his fulfilled their potential.”
