Granit Xhaka: This Arsenal player is the best I’ve ever seen

Granit Xhaka has described Arsenal star Mesut Ozil as the best player he has ever lined up with.

The Switzerland midfielder is currently getting to grips with life at Arsenal following his transfer to the north London club from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window.

Xhaka has made a handful of Premier League appearances for the Gunners so far this term and has earned praise for his solid displays in central midfield.

The 24-year-old has been lining up alongside Ozil since his move to The Emirates, with the Germany playmaker widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s top attacking players.

And Xhaka admits that Ozil is the best player he has ever featured with as he heaped praise on the World Cup winner.

Speaking in an interview with Sport.de, Xhaka said: “Mesut has a quality that I personally have never experienced before.

“He has an absolute magic left foot, is fast – even if it does not look like that sometimes and he is one of the best in the world.”

Both Ozil and Xhaka will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action this weekend with a crunch clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
