Guillem Balague’s response when asked if Man United will sign Antoine Griezmann
Guillem Balague says Antoine Griezmann hasn't made a decision on his future amid Manchester United interest
Guillem Balague has claimed that Manchester United are facing competition from up to five clubs to sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.
The France international has blossomed into one of Europe’s most-coveted centre-forwards in recent seasons following a prolific spell at los Rojiblancos.
Griezmann has fuelled speculation linking the forward with a move to Old Trafford after he admitted that he would love to play with France team-mate Paul Pogba in the future.
The 25-year-old has scored six times and has made four assists in 15 La Liga appearances this season as Atletico and Griezmann continue to struggle in the 2016-17 season.
Asked if Griezmann is set to move to Manchester United in the future during a question and answer session on Sky Sports, Balague replied: “He has got offers from the top five clubs in the world but first he has to decide to leave.
“At this moment in time he is yet to reach that conclusion.”
Manchester United signed four players in the summer transfer window following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager.
Summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 10 goals in his last nine games in all competitions following his move from Paris Saint-Germain in July.
