Harry Kane has promised Tottenham fans that the best is yet to come after the Spurs striker signed a new long-term contract with the north London club on Thursday morning.

Kane’s new deal runs until 2022 and is thought to more than double his wages to at least £120,000 a week to make him the club’s highest-paid player, according to The Daily Mirror.

The England forward has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top forwards since breaking into the first-team at White Hart Lane.

The striker finished last season as the Premier League’s joint top goal-scorer and was also voted as the PFA young player of the year.

There had been plenty of speculation about Kane’s future before he committed himself to the north London side.

And Kane used his personal Instagram account to send a message to Tottenham’s fans on Thursday.

Kane posted the photo above of himself with Mauricio Pochettino on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Really happy to have signed a new deal. Big years ahead and signing a new contract is just the start.📝 #COYS”

Tottenham are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon as they look to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to Chelsea last weekend.
