Harry Redknapp comments on brilliant Chelsea under Antonio Conte

Harry Redknapp praises the impact that Antonio Conte has had since taking over at Chelsea in the summer

Harry Redknapp has credited Antonio Conte with getting the very best out of his Chelsea players this season following his appointment in the summer.

The Blues made a stuttering start to life under their new manager at the start of the campaign when Conte opted to play four at the back following his arrival at the club.

However, back-to-back losses to Liverpool and Arsenal in September prompted Conte to switch to a 3-4-3 formation and the Blues have won their last nine games in the Premier League.

Diego Costa scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea sealed a 1-0 win over West Brom at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

That win left the Blues three points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a fantastic run of form under their new manager.

And Redknapp has been very impressed by Conte’s impact at Stamford Bridge since his appointment in the summer months.

Speaking to BT Sport on Sunday, Redknapp said: “They’re winning. Whatever he [Conte] is doing, it’s right.

“Nine games – what a run they’ve been on. This is the system he was so successful with at Juventus and got the maximum out of the Italian national team at the Euros.
