Harry Redknapp makes prediction about Chelsea in the title race

Harry Redknapp says Chelsea have established themselves as the firm favourites to win the Premier League this season

Harry Redknapp believes that Chelsea have now established themselves as the firm favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

The Blues stretched their winning run in the Premier League to an impressive 10 games on Wednesday night when they claimed a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light to move them six points clear at the top of the table.

Antonio Conte’s men certainly look like the team to beat given their current impressive form in the Premier League.

Redknapp feels that Chelsea are starting to pull away as the favourites for the title and says that the Blues could capitalise on a kind run of fixtures during the coming weeks.

Speaking on talkSPORT after Wednesday’s results, Redknapp said: “They’ve got that option (to play Cesc Fabregas), they’ve got a strong squad.

“They can bring in Willian when Hazard’s out. They’ve got such strength in depth.

“Chelsea are obviously favourites with the way it’s going.”

He continued: “Chelsea have got a great run of games as well.

“The next four or five games they can keep winning and could create a decent gap for themselves.”

Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League table last season after a campaign to forget for the west London side following Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December of last year.
