Harry Redknapp sends blunt warning to Chelsea in title race

Harry Redknapp has his say on Chelsea's title hopes this season after their win over West Brom

Harry Redknapp has warned Chelsea that they will not run away with the Premier League title this season despite their impressive form.

The Blues stretched their winning run to nine games on Sunday when they secured a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge thanks to Diego Costa’s goal in the second half in west London.

Chelsea have established themselves as the team to beat in the Premier League this season and the Blues are currently three points clear of second-placed Arsenal in the race for the title.

However, despite Chelsea being the in-form side in the top flight this season, former Spurs boss Redknapp feels that not one team have shown that they are capable of running away with the title this season.

Speaking to BT Sport after Chelsea’s win over the Baggies, Redknapp said:

“I came and watched Chelsea against Tottenham and for 40 minutes Spurs completely outplayed them.

“It’s wide open, which is great. It’s going to be exciting.

“No one’s going to run away with the league this year.”
