Henrikh Mkhitaryan sends defiant Man United message ahead of Tottenham clash

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is confident that Manchester United can still seal a top-four finish in the Premier League this season

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has insisted that Manchester United are still determined to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

The Red Devils have endured a difficult start to the campaign under new boss Jose Mourinho following the Portuguese coach’s appointment at Old Trafford back in May.

Indeed, Mourinho’s men have only won two of their last 10 games in the top flight to leave the Red Devils trailing Premier League leaders Chelsea by 13 points after 14 games of the new campaign.

United appear to be out of the title race but the Red Devils are still intent on trying to secure a top-four finish and a route back into the Champions League.

And new Manchester United signing Mkhitaryan insists that the Red Devils have still not given up hope in the Premier League.

Mkhitaryan is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “We haven’t given up in the Premier League yet. So we are not saying we are out of the competition.

“We are still in the competition, there are a lot of games to play so we are trying to do our best to be in the top four.”
