Ian Rush delivers verdict on Liverpool’s 3-0 win at Middlesbrough on Twitter
The former Liverpool striker was happy to see Jurgen Klopp's side keep a clean sheet
Ian Rush was pleased with Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night.
Jurgen Klopp restored his second-choice goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to his starting line-up following Loris Karius’ erratic performances in the Liverpool goal in recent weeks.
England attacking midfielder Adam Lallana broke the deadlock in the 29th minute before former Lille striker Divock Origi extended the visitors’ advantage 15 minutes after half-time.
The ex Southampton captain added a third with his sixth Premier League goal of the 2016-17 campaign to wrap up maximum points in the north east.
Rush, who is one of the club’s ambassadors, took to Twitter to reflect on Liverpool’s 3-0 win.
So far so good…clean sheet please!! @LFC 😉
