Ian Wright explains how teams can beat Arsenal

Ian Wright says Arsenal struggle to cope against physically demanding opposition...

Ian Wright believes that Arsenal will struggle against teams who adopt a physical approach against them this season.

The Gunners suffered their first Premier League defeat since August on Tuesday night when they lost 2-1 to Everton at Goodison Park to dent their title hopes.

Arsenal have emerged as one of the favourites to win the Premier League title this season but their loss to the Toffees was a blow to their hopes of lifting the trophy in May.

Everton produced a combative display to knock Arsenal out of their stride at Goodison Park as Ronald Koeman’s men came from behind to secure victory.

And former Arsenal star Wright feels that the Gunners are at their most vulnerable against physical opposition.

Speaking on BT Sport after Tuesday’s game, Wright said: “If you are going to beat Arsenal and try and take them out of their stride, you have to make the game a physical contest.”
