Ian Wright makes confident Man United prediction about Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Arsenal legend is backing Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be a big success at Manchester United

Ian Wright is confident that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will prove a much better Manchester United signing than Memphis Depay.

The Armenia international has endured a slow start to his Old Trafford career after Jose Mourinho signed the playmaker in a £30m deal from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

Mkhitaryan started his second Premier League game of the 2016-17 season on Sunday as he helped the Red Devils secure a 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

The former Dortmund man was particularly impressive in his first starts in the Europa League and the League Cup last month as he fired Manchester United to 4-1 victory over Feyenoord and West Ham United.

Memphis, on the other hand, has made just four substitute appearances in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign so far.

Speaking on BBC Radio Five Live’s 606 show, Wright backed Mkhitaryan to become a big hit at Old Trafford despite his slow start.

“Henrikh Mkhitaryan will go on to prove to be a much better asset than Memphis Depay,” said Wright.
