Ian Wright: Man United and Jose Mourinho are getting their swagger back

The former Arsenal striker believes Manchester United and Jose Mourinho are starting to improve in the Premier League

Ian Wright believes Manchester United have got their swagger back.

The Red Devils have endured a mixed start to life under Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese coach was appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May.

The 20-time English champions signed four players in the summer transfer window after Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Erick Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba were added to Mourinho’s squad.

Manchester United have started to find their feet in the Premier League in recent weeks after a run of three successive top-flight victories to leave them four points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.

Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Mourinho and his Manchester United players are starting to build confidence ahead of the second half of the 2016-17 Premier League campaign.

“Manchester United are looking stronger. I just feel that Manchester United – and even with Jose Mourinho – there is a little bit more swagger about them,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.

Manchester United finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season, although the Red Devils won the FA Cup thanks to an extra-time victory over Crystal Palace at Wembley.

The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013.
