Ian Wright states his prediction for Tottenham v Burnley

The Arsenal legend is backing Tottenham Hotspur to ease to victory over Burnley at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon

Ian Wright says he can’t see past a Tottenham Hotspur victory on Sunday afternoon ahead of the visit of Burnley at White Hart Lane.

The north London side will be looking to record a second successive Premier League win to keep pace with their title rivals ahead of Christmas Day.

Spurs were 3-0 winners against Hull City in north London on Wednesday night thanks to Christian Eriksen’s brace and Victor Wanyama’s tap-in.

Tottenham started the week with a 1-0 defeat by title rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford after Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s clinical finish in the first half.

The Lilywhites are in fifth place in the Premier League table and three points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City in the top-four race.

Speaking to The Sun Goals podcast, Wright backed Tottenham to ease to victory over Burnley at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

“I can’t see past Spurs. Spurs will be too strong for them. I’m going for Burnley not to score and Spurs to win 2-0,” Wright said.
