Ian Wright: This is worrying about Chelsea in the title race

The former Arsenal striker was impressed with Chelsea's recent Premier League victories

Ian Wright believes Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City should be worried about Chelsea’s ability to grind out Premier League victories in the title race.

The west London side have won their last 11 Premier League games since their 3-0 defeat by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September.

Chelsea were 1-0 winners against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday night after Cesc Fabregas’ winner in the first half and also beat Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Blues have already beaten Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the title race this season.

Former Arsenal striker Wright warned the chasing pack that it’s worrying to see Chelsea edge out victories over West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland despite dogged performances from opponents.

“Chelsea kept going,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.

“That’s what will worry Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. Chelsea, even in a gritty tough game like that, one of their top guys came forward and came up with the goods.”

Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last season after a disappointing defence of their top-flight crown.

The west London side signed five players in the summer transfer window as Conte looked to overhaul his Chelsea squad.
