The Arsenal legend reveals that Glenn Hoddle is a huge admirer of Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana
Ian Wright has revealed that England and Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle won’t stop raving about Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.
The attacking midfielder has been in superb form in the Premier League in recent months to help Liverpool challenge for the title in the 2016-17 season.
Lallana scored six times and made six assists in 14 Premier League games after continuing to produce his best form under charismatic manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 28-year-old netted either side of half-time in a 3-0 win against Middlesbrough on Wednesday night, while Lallana teed up Divock Origi at the Riverside Stadium.
Speaking on The Sun Goals podcast, Wright revealed that Hoddle is a huge fan of Lallana following the playmaker’s electric performances in recent months.
“Since he got in the England squad, Glenn Hoddle doesn’t stop raving about him. He says all he needs to do is add a little bit more strength, pace and urgency to his game – and goals. He has done all of that,” Wright said.
Lallana moved to Liverpool in a £25m deal from Southampton in the summer transfer window in 2014 under Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers.
The England man scored seven times in 49 appearances in all competitions last term.
The 28-year-old has only managed to hit double figures in a season once during his career.
