Jamie Carragher and Dietmar Hamann clash over Liverpool signing on Twitter

The Liverpool legends have differing opinions on Jurgen Klopp's summer signing Loris Karius after the goalkeeper's latest performance

Jamie Carragher and Dietmar Hamann clashed on Twitter on Monday as the pair debated Loris Karius’s performance in Liverpool’s 2-2 with West Ham at Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit failed to make a swift return to winning ways on Sunday afternoon despite Adam Lallana scoring a fifth-minute opener against the Hammers at Anfield.

Karius was criticised for his poor goalkeeping during the Premier League clash after France international Dimitri Payet netted a free-kick despite the German getting a hand to the ball.

West Ham wing-back Michail Antonio edged the visitors into a half-time lead before Belgium striker Divock Origi levelled the Premier League clash in the 49th minute.

Karius hit back at former Manchester United defender Gary Neville ahead of Sunday’s clash after the ex England coach criticised Karius for his poor performance in a 4-3 loss to Bournemouth.

Speaking after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday afternoon, Carragher urged Karius to shut up and to concentrate on his football.

However, his former team-mate Hamann felt criticism of Karius is unfair.

Of course, Carragher couldn’t resist responding to Hamann on the social media site.

But for worried Liverpool supporters, the Champions League-winning duo are still pals despite their difference of opinion on Karius.
