Jamie Carragher: Chelsea have been good but Liverpool are better at this

Jamie Carragher believes that Liverpool have been the most entertaining team in the Premier League this season

Jamie Carragher has claimed that Liverpool are the most entertaining team to watch in the Premier League this season.

The Reds have been in fine form in recent weeks and continued their title challenge when they came from behind to seal a 4-1 victory over Stoke City at Anfield on Tuesday night.

That win left Liverpool second in the Premier League table and six points behind leaders Chelsea heading into their crunch clash against Manchester City this weekend.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have been the Premier League’s standout team this season and currently lead the way at the top of the table after a flying start under new boss Antonio Conte.

However, Carragher feels that any neutral fan would choose to watch Liverpool over any other team in the Premier League this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Tuesday’s win over Stoke City, Carragher said: “Since he [Klopp] has come in, if you were to ask any neutral, they’d say Liverpool are the team they want to watch.

“They do concede goals but score plenty, are exciting to watch and are always on the front foot. They are the most entertaining team – but you don’t win a Premier League title for that.

“Chelsea at the moment have got that big lead and if they continue to win they’ll be unstoppable.

“But watching Liverpool is the ticket at the moment.”
