Jamie Carragher issues warning to Jose Mourinho over Man United fixtures
The Liverpool legend delivers his verdict on Manchester United's upcoming Premier League fixtures
Jamie Carragher has warned Jose Mourinho that Manchester United have some difficult Premier League fixtures on the horizon.
The Red Devils played out a disappointing 1-1 draw with West Ham United at Old Trafford last weekend after Zlatan Ibrahimovic cancelled out Diafra Sakho’s opener.
Manchester United have drawn two of their last 10 Premier League games to leave Mourinho’s side 11 points behind current leaders Chelsea after 13 games.
The Red Devils have dropped points against the likes of Watford, Stoke City, Burnley and West Ham this season, while losing to Chelsea and Manchester City.
Manchester United will make the trip to Everton in the Premier League this weekend before Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to Old Trafford on 11 December.
And Liverpool legend Carragher has warned Mourinho and his Manchester United players over a tricky set of fixtures on the horizon.
“I don’t think they’ve had a tough start,” Carragher told Sky Sports News HQ.
“I imagine they have a lot of tough fixtures to come. The games at home that they drew – OK Arsenal were in the middle of it but there weren’t too many big games in there. They lost to Manchester City at home.”
The Red Devils appointed Mourinho as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May after the Dutch led Manchester United to a fifth-place finish.
