Jamie Carragher makes exciting prediction about Paul Pogba and Man United

Jamie Carragher is tipping Paul Pogba to develop into a key player for Manchester United this season

Jamie Carragher is tipping Paul Pogba to develop into one of the best players in the Premier League this season.

The midfielder had initially made a relatively slow start to life back at Old Trafford following his big-money return to Manchester United from Juventus in the summer.

However, the 23-year-old now seems to be finding his feet under new boss Jose Mourinho and his performances for the Red Devils have improved markedly in recent weeks.

The France international’s displays have helped Manchester United notch up three wins in a row in the Premier League and keep themselves in the hunt for a top-four finish.

And former Liverpool defender Carragher is expecting big things from Pogba in the weeks and months to come.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Carragher said: “I was critical of him early on in the season.

“I think they’ve now found the right fit for him and the players to play alongside him in that three-man midfield. He’s starting to look the real deal.

“United are playing a lot better and over the next few months I think we could be talking about him as one of the best players in the league.”
