Jamie Redknapp states his prediction for Man United v Tottenham

Jamie Redknapp looks ahead to Manchester United's showdown with Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday

Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Tottenham are unlikely to get beaten by Manchester United in Sunday’s showdown at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to find some form in the Premier League after their disappointing recent run of results left them 13 points behind the leaders.

Indeed, Jose Mourinho’s men have only won two of their last 11 games in the top flight to leave them well off the pace in the race for a top-four finish.

Tottenham have also struggled in recent weeks but returned to winning ways last weekend with a thumping 5-0 win over Swansea City.

And former Spurs midfielder Redknapp does not expect to see Manchester United be able to win Sunday’s game at Old Trafford.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “It will be interesting to see how this game plays out on Sunday.

“I’ve gone for a draw, simply because I’m not sure you can be backing United at this moment. They’re playing better – but they should be playing better considering the money they’ve spent and the players they’ve got – but they’re still searching for top form.

“They’re going to play against a well-organised, confident Tottenham side and I can’t see Spurs getting beaten to be honest.”
