Jamie Redknapp: What I like most about Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Jamie Redknapp is impressed with Jurgen Klopp's positivity about Liverpool

Jamie Redknapp has admitted that he has been impressed with Jurgen Klopp’s positivity at Liverpool this season.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager is halfway through his first full campaign in charge of the Merseyside outfit.

Klopp was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent successor back in October 2015 after Liverpool’s disappointing start to the 2016-17 campaign.

The charismatic German led the Reds to an eighth-place finish in the Premier League table last term before he signed seven players in the summer transfer window to bolster his squad.

And Klopp has managed to transform Liverpool into title contenders in his 14 months at the 18-time English champions after their 1-0 win against Everton in the Merseyside derby left the Reds six points adrift of leaders Chelsea.

The club’s former captain Redknapp spoke to Klopp ahead of Liverpool’s home clash against Stoke City on Tuesday evening.

And the ex-Liverpool midfielder has revealed what really impressed him about Klopp during his interview.

“He was very positive about what’s going on at the club and that’s what I liked about him the most,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“I’d seen Adam Lallana the week before and he said ‘you’ve got to see the boss, he’s amazing’. I can 100 per cent see that. There’s a great feeling around the club.”

Liverpool have only lost two games in the Premier League season so far.
