Jamie Redknapp’s response when asked if Chelsea can be caught in title race

The former Liverpool and Tottenham captain doesn't believe it's a one-horse title race despite Chelsea's dominance

Jamie Redknapp has warned Chelsea that they will suffer setbacks in the Premier League title race.

The Blues eased to a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon thanks to Diego Costa’s first-half header.

The Spain international netted his 13th Premier League goal of the campaign after the striker latched onto Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross.

Chelsea have won their last 11 Premier League games to leave Antonio Conte’s side top of the table on Christmas Day.

The west London outfit have beaten title rivals Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur during their impressive run.

Speaking to Sky Sports after Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Redknapp explained why he doesn’t believe it will be a one-horse title race this term.

“There are going to be a few twists and turns and players getting injured and suspended,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“They’ve got Costa and Kante suspended for Bournemouth. You only need to miss one player and it can change the dynamics. At the moment, Chelsea are the team to beat. They’re in fantastic form. The manager is different class. I love the way they play.”

Chelsea haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 3-0 defeat by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September.

The Blues will host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge in their next top-flight fixture on Boxing Day next weekend.
