Jesse Lingard issues warning to Man United’s Premier League rivals

Jesse Lingard feels that Manchester United are now clicking into gear under Jose Mourinho

Jesse Lingard has warned Manchester United’s Premier League rivals that the Red Devils are now clicking into gear under Jose Mourinho.

Lingard set up the opener for Manchester United as the Red Devils secured a 2-0 win at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday night to notch up their third victory in a row in the Premier League.

It has been something of a stuttering start to life for Mourinho at Old Trafford following his appointment as the club’s new manager in the summer.

The Red Devils have struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League but now appear to be producing better displays.

And winger Lingard feels that the Red Devils are now well-placed to climb the Premier League table ahead of the hectic festive period.

Speaking to MUTV after Saturday’s game, Lingard said: “I think we are getting into a rhythm now.

“We have players coming back, so we have a full squad to pick from and everybody knows their role and is going about their job so well at the moment.”

Manchester United finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal last season before they sacked the Dutchman and replaced him with Mourinho in the summer.
