Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says this Arsenal star reminds him of Eden Hazard
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink does not believe that Alexis Sanchez is an out and out striker
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes that Alexis Sanchez bears some similarities to Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
The Chile international has been in sensational form for Arsenal so far this season and was once again the north London club’s standout performer as the Gunners thrashed West Ham United 5-1 on Saturday.
Sanchez set up Arsenal’s opener and scored a superb second-half hat-trick to help the north London side wrap up a comfortable Premier League win at the London Stadium.
The 27-year-old has netted 11 goals and made four assists in the Premier League for the Gunners so far this term to help them up to second place in the Premier League table.
Sanchez has been deployed mainly in a central striking role for Arsenal so far this season.
However, former Chelsea star Hasselbaink does not believe that the Chilean is an out and out centre-forward and instead compared him to Hazard.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Hasselbaink said: “Alexis Sanchez, for me, is not an out-and-out striker.
“He is a little bit between. He can come from wide. He is more dangerous coming from wide. Sanchez and Hazard are quite similar.”
