John Aldridge reacts to Liverpool’s 3-0 win at Middlesbrough on Twitter

The former Liverpool striker delivers a glowing verdict on the Reds' comfortable win against Middlesbrough

John Aldridge hailed Liverpool’s one-touch football after their resounding 3-0 win against Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.

Liverpool were looking to make an urgent return to winning ways in the Premier League following a 4-3 loss to Bournemouth and a 2-2 stalemate with West Ham United in their last two games.

England international Adam Lallana broke the deadlock in the 29th minute thanks to a close-range header at the Riverside Stadium as the ex Southampton man scored his fourth goal of the campaign.

Divock Origi continued his incredible goal-scoring run in the north east after the Belgian forward netted in his fifth successive game in all competitions since coming into the side following Philippe Coutiho’s injury.

Lallana sealed three points and ruled out the prospect of a Middlesbrough comeback with a clinical finish following another impressive Liverpool move.

Former Reds striker Aldridge took to Twitter to hail Klopp’s side.

Liverpool moved level on points with Arsenal in second place in the Premier League table after their comfortable victory over Middlesbrough.
