Jose Mourinho names the best team in the Premier League (and it’s not Chelsea or Arsenal)

Jose Mourinho claims Tottenham are the best team in the Premier League at the moment

Jose Mourinho has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are the best team in the Premier League because of the balance of their squad.

The north London side were beaten 1-0 by Mourinho’s Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the only goal of the game in the first half.

Spurs were one of the Premier League’s top teams last season and were Leicester City’s closest challengers for the title for much of the campaign before they ended up third in the table.

The Lilywhites are looking to go one step further this season and continue to push for the Premier League title.

Chelsea are currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table and are three points clear of second-placed Arsenal.

However, Manchester United boss Mourinho feels that Tottenham are the best team in the Premier League at the moment.

Speaking to Sky Sports after United’s win over Spurs, Mourinho said: “I think they are the best team in the Premier League, they are the most complete team.

“Best defence but lots of quality in attacking areas, that’s why since last season I think that they, for me, are the best team in the league.”
