Jose Mourinho: These two Man United players were magnificent at Everton

Jose Mourinho has heaped praise on Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo for their performances for Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League clash at Everton.
It ended up being a frustrating afternoon for Mourinho’s men after the Red Devils were pegged back by the Toffees and held to a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
United looked like they were heading on their way towards victory after Zlatan Ibrahimovic had given the visitors the lead in the first half.
However, substitute Marouane Fellaini came off the bench late on and conceded a sloppy penalty, as Leighton Baines duly stepped up and converted the spot kick.
Mourinho was asked to give his views on how Ibrahimovic has been performing for Manchester United in recent weeks after the game.
And the Portuguese coach was quick to direct some of the praise towards defenders Jones and Rojo for their displays at Goodison Park.
“He’s playing like the team is playing,” Mourinho is quoted as saying by The Daily Express.
“The team is playing very, very well and the players are playing well. I would say [Phil] Jones and [Marcos] Rojo were magnificent.
“Jones for many years doesn’t play five matches in a row and Rojo last season was left-back, on the bench and at home and in this moment he’s had five consecutive matches also playing central defence, so we had phenomenal performances and a very good solid performance as a team.”
