Liverpool could face competition from Chelsea to sign 29-year-old – report
Liverpool and Chelsea are both being linked with a possible swoop for Joe Hart in the summer by Marca
Liverpool could face competition from Chelsea in their bid to sign Joe Hart from Manchester City next summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper Marca, as quoted by The Daily Mirror, is reporting that Chelsea could be tempted into a swoop for goalkeeper Hart next summer if Thibaut Courtois were to depart for Real Madrid.
The same report claims that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has identified Hart as a potential long-term solution to his goalkeeping problems at Anfield, with summer signing Loris Karius yet to impress.
Hart is currently on loan to Serie A side Torino after being deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City by new boss Pep Guardiola.
The same article claims that Torino are keen on signing Hart on a permanent basis but that the England international could be tempted by a possible return to the Premier League.
Liverpool are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Stoke City at Anfield on Tuesday night as they look to continue their title bid.
