Liverpool are lining up a £20m offer for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports in Scotland.
Glasgow Live reported on Thursday that Jurgen Klopp is eyeing the former Fulham forward as the Liverpool manager looks to bolster his attacking options at the Merseyside outfit.
The same article states that Liverpool would be prepared to pay £10m up front and pay a further £10m in add-ons in an attempt to steal a march on other potential suitors for the French centre-forward.
Dembele has scored 15 times in 21 appearances in all competitions for the SPL champions this term under Klopp’s Liverpool predecessor Brendan Rodgers at the Glasgow outfit.
Klopp suffered a blow last weekend after Philippe Coutinho picked up ankle ligament damage during their 2-0 victory over Sunderland at Anfield in the Premier League.
The Reds are in second place in the Premier League table and a point adrift of leaders Chelsea after 13 games.
The 18-time English champions signed seven players in the summer transfer window, including £34m forward Sadio Mane from Southampton.
