Martin Keown states his prediction for Liverpool v Man City

Martin Keown looks ahead to Liverpool's clash with Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday

Martin Keown is backing Liverpool to be held to a 2-2 draw by Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday night.

The Reds have been in fine form in recent weeks and head into the game on the back of their 4-1 win over Stoke City at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Indeed, Liverpool have been Chelsea’s closest challengers for the Premier League title this season and the Reds are currently second in the table and six points behind Antonio Conte’s Premier League leaders.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are third in the table and a point behind the Reds and head into the game knowing that a win at Anfield would lift them into second place heading into 2017.

However, former Arsenal defender is expecting to see both teams play out a 2-2 draw at Anfield this weekend.

Asked for his prediction for the game, Keown told The Daily Mail: “I think it will be 2-2.”
