Ray Wilkins states prediction for Liverpool v Stoke

Ray Wilkins is tipping Liverpool to secure three points against Stoke City

Ray Wilkins is confident that Liverpool will ease to victory over Stoke City in their Premier League clash at Anfield next Tuesday.

Liverpool have recorded back-to-back Premier League victories to ensure that Jurgen Klopp’s side will occupy second place on Christmas Day.

The Reds were 3-0 winners against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium last week before a dramatic 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Monday night.

Senegal international Sadio Mane netted a dramatic winner in the fourth minute of added time to take his tally to eight goals in the 2016-17 season.

Liverpool are in second place and six points behind Chelsea ahead of the visit of Stoke City at Anfield next week.

Speaking to the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast, former Manchester United midfielder Ray Wilkins backed Liverpool to secure three points against the Potters.

“It’s too much of an ask for Stoke to go there. There’s no real consistency there. It’s a Liverpool win all day long,” Wilkins said.

Liverpool have only lost to Burnley and Bournemouth in 17 Premier League games so far this season.
