Dietmar Hamann states prediction for Liverpool v West Ham

The Liverpool legend is tipping the Merseyside outfit to ease to victory over West Ham United

Dietmar Hamann is backing Liverpool to return to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend when the Reds host West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Merseyside outfit lost pace on their title rivals Chelsea after a surprise 4-3 defeat by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon despite leading by two goals twice.

Liverpool have only managed to win one of their last three Premier League fixtures following a stalemate with Southampton and a loss to Bournemouth in their last two away games.

The 18-time English champions have been in imperious form at Anfield in the 2016-17 season after five victories and one draw following a return of 19 goals in six Premier League fixtures.

Former Liverpool midfielder Hamann is tipping the Reds to collect three points against Slaven Bilic’s Hammer side on Sunday afternoon.

“With the weekend in mind Liverpool face a West Ham side who are having a tough time, but they’re a very physical team. Traditionally, this is the kind of side Liverpool don’t like facing,” Hamann told Paddy Power’s website.

“Philippe Coutinho is a big loss in these games where you need to pick apart the opposition who may sit deep, but home advantage should swing it for the Reds and put them back on track.”

Liverpool are four points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
