Michael Owen states prediction for Liverpool v West Ham
Michael Owen is tipping Liverpool to score at least three or four goals in a victory over West Ham on Sunday
Michael Owen is confident Liverpool will score plenty of goals in a commanding win against West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Merseyside outfit suffered a 4-3 loss to Eddie Howe’s Bouremouth at the Vitality Stadium last weekend despite Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Emre Can all finding the back of the net on the south coast.
The Reds are the Premier League leading goal-scorers this season after a return of 35 goals in 14 top-flight fixtures thanks to the prolific form of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Mane.
Liverpool will be looking to return to winning ways on Sunday afternoon after Jurgen Klopp’s side fell four points adrift of current leaders Chelsea following their seven-goal thriller at Bournemouth.
West Ham have made a disappointing start to life at their new London Stadium and the Hammers were soundly beaten 5-1 by Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend.
Former Liverpool striker Owen can’t see past a resounding Liverpool win at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
“The Reds have played on a Sunday three times so far this season and on each occasion there have been seven goals scored!” Owen wrote in his BetVictor column.
“I expect to see plenty of goals at Anfield, at least for the Reds, and these are slightly worrying times for West Ham and their supporters having shipped five to Arsenal at home last weekend.”
