Luis Garcia reacts to Adam Lallana’s performance in Liverpool’s 3-0 win at Middlesbrough on Twitter

The former Liverpool forward singles out Adam Lallana for special praise

Luis Garcia singled out Adam Lallana for special praise after Liverpool’s 3-0 win against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night.

Lallana made just his second Liverpool start since recovering from a hamstring injury which he picked up during England’s 2-2 draw with France last month.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder broke the deadlock in the 29th minute of Wednesday night’s clash with a clinical header from close range.

Belgium international Divock Origi doubled the visitors’ advantage after the former Southampton captain teed up the centre-forward at the Riverside Stadium.

Lallana sealed three points with a clinical finish with 22 minutes remaining before he was taken off ahead of next week’s Merseyside derby.

Former Liverpool forward Garcia lavished praise on Lallana following the midfielder’s fifth and sixth goals of the campaign.

The Merseyside outfit hoisted themselves level on points with title rivals Arsenal in second place after their emphatic win at Middlesbrough.

The Reds will host Everton in the Merseyside derby in their next Premier League game at Anfield on Monday night.
