Luis Garcia reacts to Daniel Sturridge’s display in Liverpool’s win over Stoke

Luis Garcia takes to social media during Liverpool's 4-1 win over Stoke in the Premier League at Anfield

Luis Garcia singled out Daniel Sturridge for special praise after the striker scored Liverpool’s fourth goal in their 4-1 victory over Stoke City in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Sturridge came on in the 70th minute at Anfield and found the net moments later when he fired home with just his third touch of the game.

Stoke had taken the lead in the 12th minute on Merseyside through Jonathan Walters, but Liverpool soon drew level through Adam Lallana’s fine finish.

Roberto Firmino then struck on the stroke of half-time to put Jurgen Klopp’s men ahead.

Giannelli Imbula’s own goal in the second half then made it 3-1 to the Reds, before Sturridge came off the bench to net a fourth.

Former Liverpool star Garcia was watching proceedings unfold at Anfield and took to Twitter as Liverpool took control of the game.

He tweeted:

The win left Liverpool in second place in the Premier League table and six points behind leaders Chelsea.
