Arsenal head into their clash against Pep Guardiola’s men looking to bounce back to winning ways following the disappointment of their 2-1 loss to Everton in midweek.
That result left the north London side in third place in the Premier League table and six points behind leaders Chelsea heading into the final round of games before Christmas.
Pep Guardiola’s City side will be looking to prove a point against one of the league’s top teams following their recent defeat by Chelsea at The Etihad.
And former Manchester United striker Owen believes that City will edge Sunday’s game to further dent the title hopes of Arsene Wenger’s men.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The Gunners are unbeaten in their last six games against City but I fancy the hosts to keep the points at the Etihad in a massive game in the title race.
“City have injuries and suspensions to contend with but there is enough quality in their squad to cope, and they can edge what promises to be a thriller.”
Arsenal finished second and without a trophy last season as they ended up 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester City.
