Ian Wright states prediction for Man City v Chelsea
The Arsenal legend is backing Antonio Conte's side to edge to victory over Manchester City on Saturday afternoon
Ian Wright is backing Chelsea to edge to victory over title rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and are a point ahead of second-placed Liverpool after 13 games.
The west London outfit haven’t dropped points in the English top flight since a 3-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September.
Chelsea have won their last seven Premier League games, including victories over Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester City, on the other hand, have recorded three wins in their last seven outings after a run of three stalemates and a defeat.
Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Chelsea could nick a positive result against the Citizens on Saturday afternoon.
“I’m going to go with Chelsea to beat them because of the way Chelsea are playing at the moment,” Wright told The Sun Goals podcast.
Chelsea have scored 19 times and have kept six clean sheets in victories over Hull City, Leicester City, Manchester United, Southampton, Everton, Middlesbrough and Tottenham.
Manchester City have only lost one Premier League game since Pep Guardiola took over the reins – a 2-0 loss to Spurs at White Hart Lane.
