Matt Le Tissier states his prediction for Man City v Chelsea
Matt Le Tissier looks ahead to Chelsea's clash with Manchester City this weekend
Matt Le Tissier believes that Manchester City and Chelsea are likely to play out a draw at The Etihad on Saturday lunchtime.
Chelsea head into the game flying high at the top of the Premier League table after their 2-1 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
Indeed, Antonio Conte’s men have won their last seven games in the Premier League to leave the west London side one point clear of second-placed Liverpool after 13 matches of the new campaign.
However, Saturday’s clash against City is likely to provide a stern test of their Premier League title credentials as they prepare to take on Pep Guardiola’s men away from home.
And former Southampton star Le Tissier feels that both managers would be likely to take a point from the game if it were offered to them now.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Le Tissier said: “If one of these two teams goes out and wins the game, you could be looking back on that and saying: “It was a big moment in the title race”.
“However, looking at the match, if you asked both managers honestly, they would probably say they would take a point right now.”
Chelsea are aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of their 10th-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
