Ray Parlour states confident prediction for Man City v Chelsea

The former Arsenal midfielder says Chelsea will definitely get a result against Manchester City on Saturday

Ray Parlour believes Chelsea will definitely pick up a positive result against Manchester City at The Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues will make the trip to the Etihad Stadium full of confidence after a seven-game winning run in the Premier League.

The west London side have beaten title rivals Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur during that run to cement their status as genuine contenders.

In fact, Chelsea have scored 19 times and have kept six clean sheets during their seven successive Premier League victories.

Manchester City, on the other hand, have produced stuttering form throughout October and November after registering just three wins in seven games.

However, Pep Guardiola’s are on Chelsea’s coattails with a point seperating two of the Premier League’s wealthiest clubs in the title race.

But former Arsenal midfielder Parlour is confident that Chelsea will secure at least a point at The Etihad – adding that he fancies Antonio Conte’s to snatch three points in Manchester.

“Chelsea will be hard to beat after conceding one goal in seven games. But they’re playing a Manchester City side that have quality going forward,” Parlour told the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast.

“Sergio Aguero got the goals last week. The division’s best two strikers against each other – Aguero and Costa. This is a really hard one to call. I am going to sit on the fence and go for a draw. Maybe Chelsea can nick it. Chelsea will definitely get a result.”
