Man United appoint agent to secure £60m deal for La Liga striker – report
Jose Mourinho has made signing Antoine Griezmann Manchester United's top priority in the summer, according to reports
Manchester United have charged one of football’s top agents with the task of securing Antoine Griezmann’s £60m transfer to Old Trafford, according to a report in the British media.
The Sun are reporting that the Red Devils have opened talks with the France international over a potential deal to sign the Atletico Madrid striker in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Jose Mourinho has made signing Griezmann the club’s top priority in the summer as the Red Devils boss looks to further bolster his attacking options.
Griezmann has struggled in the Atletico team this season as Diego Simeone’s side continue to stutter in the 2016-17 season so far.
The French forward has scored six times and has made four assists in 15 La Liga appearances in the current campaign.
Manchester United signed four players in the summer transfer window after new manager Mourinho brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils host Sunderland at Old Trafford on Boxing Day in the Premier League.
