Michael Owen is fully expecting to see Manchester United make it five wins in a row in the Premier League when the Red Devils take on Middlesbrough at Old Trafford this weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been in much improved form in recent weeks and have managed to turn their dominant performances into wins in the top flight.

Manchester United had initially struggled to click into gear under new manager Mourinho following his appointment at Old Trafford back in May.

However, the Red Devils seem to be finding their feet under the Portuguese coach and were 3-1 winners over Sunderland at Old Trafford in their most recent top-flight outing.

And former Red Devils striker Owen admits that he cannot see anything but a Manchester United win when they host Middlesbrough on New Year’s Eve.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “United continue to improve and impress and I can’t see this Boro side prevent another home win for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.”
