Matt Le Tissier predicts where Chelsea, Liverpool will finish this season

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has predicted which teams will finish in the Premier League's top four this season

Matt Le Tissier believes that Liverpool are in with a chance of pipping Chelsea to the Premier League title this season, but warned that Manchester United are likely to miss out on a top-four finish.

Chelsea are currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table and are six points ahead of second-placed Liverpool heading into the hectic festive schedule.

Manchester City are a point behind Liverpool, while Arsenal currently occupy the fourth and final Champions League qualification place.

Manchester United are sixth and 13 points behind Chelsea and Tottenham are currently in fifth place.

However, former Southampton star Le Tissier says that he cannot see any other teams breaking into the top four and expects Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and City to all qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Asked to predict the Premier League’s top four this season, Le Tissier told Sky Sports: “I’d be very surprised to see the top four change now.

“If you look at the strength of those squads up there now and it’s very difficult to see anybody else breaking into that top four.

“Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal, for me.”
