Matteo Darmian heaps praise on Man United starlet and tips him for big things

Matteo Darmian is expecting big things from Marcus Rashford at Manchester United

Matteo Darmian has heaped praise on Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford and claims that the teenager is one of the best young players in the Premier League.

Rashford has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents since he broke into the first team at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal last season.

The teenager’s fine form towards the end of last season earned him a call-up to the England squad for Euro 2016.

Rashford is being tipped to develop into a top English striker in the years to come by many pundits.

And Manchester United defender Darmian feels that the youngster has all of the necessary ingredients to develop into a top player in the seasons to come.

Speaking in an interview with Manchester United’s website, Darmian said: “I think maybe Marcus Rashford is the best young player [in the league].

“He is strong, he is powerful, he has all of the characteristics to become a top player.”
