Paul Pogba sends bold message to Man United fans ahead of Tottenham clash

Paul Pogba declares that Manchester United are out to win the Europa League this season ahead of Sunday's clash with Tottenham

Paul Pogba has declared that Manchester United are out to win the Europa League this season following their 2-0 victory over Zorya on Thursday night.

The Red Devils secured their progress to the last 32 of Europe’s second tier club competition after goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic sealed the win.

It has been something of a stuttering start to life for Manchester United under new boss Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils have struggled to produce consistent form in the Premier League and head into this Sunday’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.

With United currently trailing in the race for a top-four finish, it has been suggested that winning the Europa League could represent their best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

And France midfielder Pogba has talked up the importance of the Europa League ahead of Sunday’s clash with Tottenham.

Pogba told MUTV: “It was a good win which is what we wanted.

“Now we have to be focused on the next game.
