Pedro makes honest admission about Chelsea under Jose Mourinho

Pedro admits that things "weren't right" under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea last season

Pedro has admitted that things just “weren’t right” under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea last season.

The Blues endured a season to forget last term as they ended up in 10th place in the Premier League table in the wake of Mourinho’s sacking last December.

The west London side struggled to find form under Mourinho in the opening stages of last season as the Blues found themselves closer to the bottom of the table than the top.

Mourinho was given his marching orders in December as the Blues recruited Guus Hiddink on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Chelsea have enjoyed a remarkable upturn in form following Antonio Conte’s appointment as the club’s new manager in the summer.

The Blues are flying high at the top of the table and have established themselves as the favourites to win the title this term.

And Pedro admits that it was a difficult campaign for the west London side last term.

Pedro is quoted as saying by The Telegraph: “It was about everything, everything just wasn’t right.

“We were very low in the league, the spirits were very low, the trust was very low, everything was going wrong. It made it very difficult to be fit, to be in a good position.

“It was just the whole thing – it wasn’t right.”
