Pedro discusses his start to the season for Chelsea under Antonio Conte

Pedro Rodriguez has admitted that he is glad that he opted to stay at Chelsea in the summer and says he is brimming with confidence under new coach Antonio Conte.

The Spaniard was linked with a possible move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer after a disappointing first season in England, as the Blues finished in 10th place in the Premier League following Jose Mourinho’s sacking last December.

However, Pedro has been one of Chelsea’s standout players under Antonio Conte this season, with the Spaniard having scored the Blues’ equaliser in the 2-1 win over Tottenham last weekend.

And the Spain international has admitted that he was very glad that he opted to stay at Chelsea given how this season appears to be shaping up.

Speaking in an interview with The London Evening Standard, Pedro said: “I am enjoying my football more and I am very comfortable on the pitch and with my team-mates.

“Things are going good for me, I’m scoring goals and I want to continue like this.

“I am full of confidence and this is the way I want to be playing for Chelsea. But I will take it game by game.

“Am I glad I stayed at Chelsea? Yes.

“I am showing what I can do in a Chelsea shirt.

“But everyone is playing well and putting in good performances.
